Depuis 2013, Hraïr Hratchian développe une pratique artistique à l’intersection de l’art performance et du cinéma expérimental. Comme musicien, il a été membre fondateur du groupe de rock montréalais De la Caucase (1998–2008), où il a occupé les rôles de chanteur et de joueur de doudouk [cliquez ici]. Il a ensuite cofondé La Désunion (2010–2013), un ensemble dédié à l’improvisation, développant ainsi une approche de la création fondée sur le processus et non hiérarchique[cliquez ici].
